  L’évaluation des produits permet aux agences spatiales d’estimer la qualité d’un produit au regard de références externes, de comparer des produits entre eux et de quantifier l’aptitude à l’usage pour différentes applications. L’étude réalisée pour l’ESA a consisté à évaluer la précision des altitudes fournies par les MNTs SRTM, ASTER GDEM, ALOS World 3D puis Copernicus DEMs comparées aux données des LiDAR ICESat.
